L.C.V TRAINING

Long Combination Vehicle

Drivers must have 2 years’ experience or 150,000 documented kms. Drivers must also have a very clean driving abstract. What is an LCV? If you drive LCVs, most driving happens on scheduled runs, often overnight. Our training teaches you how to drive one of three kinds of LCVs:

1. Turnpike Doubles: two long trailers, only allowed on four-lane divided highways

2. Triples: three short trailers coupled together, only allowed on four-lane divided highways.

3. Rocky Mountain Doubles: a long trailer with a short trailer, allowed on specified two-lane highways.
